Hydro Guard™ HQL2 Single Filter Head is engineered for commercial applications that require dependable performance along with greater flexibility in cartridge selection. Designed for compatibility with both Hydro Guard and Everpure filter cartridges, the HQL2 allows operators to choose from a broader range of filtration solutions while maintaining a durable, commercial-quality filter head platform.
Hydro Guard™ HQL2 Single Filter Head features a built-in water shut-off valve designed to simplify cartridge replacement and routine maintenance. Its sanitary quick-change design allows cartridges to be removed and replaced quickly without special tools, helping reduce maintenance time while providing a convenient solution for busy commercial environments.
The Hydro Guard™ HQL2 Single Filter Head is offered in three configurations to accommodate different plumbing and installation requirements. The HDG-HQL2-14Q features a 1/4″ Quick Connect connection, the HDG-HQL2-38Q provides a 3/8″ Quick Connect connection, and the HDG-HQL2-38 utilizes a 3/8″ FNPT connection. Each configuration provides the same dual compatibility with Hydro Guard and Everpure cartridges.

Description
The Hydro Guard™ HQL2 Single Filter Head is a commercial-quality single stage filter head designed to provide greater cartridge flexibility for demanding water filtration applications. Compatible with both Hydro Guard and Everpure filter cartridges, the HQL2 provides a versatile platform for foodservice, vending, office coffee service, and other commercial applications.
Available configurations include the HDG-HQL2-14Q with a 1/4″ Quick Connect, HDG-HQL2-38Q with a 3/8″ Quick Connect, and HDG-HQL2-38 with a 3/8″ FNPT connection. Each model features a built-in water shut-off valve and includes a mounting bracket and screws for convenient installation and routine cartridge replacement.
Installation Instructions
• Install the filter head in a vertical position and allow a minimum of 2½” (6.35 cm) of clearance below the cartridge for easy replacement.
• Flush the system by running water through the filter for five (5) minutes before use.
• Replace the filter cartridge annually, when the rated capacity is reached, or whenever a noticeable reduction in water flow occurs
Operation Instructions
• Change cartridges when capacity is reached or when pressure falls below 10 psi (0.7 bar).
• Always flush the filter cartridge at time of installation and cartridge change.
