WHAT IS CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 (ALSO KNOWN AS “PROP 65”)?
Proposition 65 is a California Law that requires businesses to notify Californians about qualifying amounts of substances in the environment and/or consumer goods. Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, Proposition 65 was designed to assist California residents to make informed decisions about the products they purchase and the impact on their health. WHAT SUBSTANCES MAY EXIST IN WATER FILTRATION COMPONENTS THAT WOULD FALL UNDER PROPOSITION 65?

WHY DO A FEW OF OUR PRODUCTS HAVE THIS WARNING LABEL?
Proposition 65 requires any company doing business in California to notify California consumers about the presence of certain substances in products the company is offering for sale in California.  
SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THESE PRODUCTS?
Although you should always be aware and take notice of any product warning, a Proposition 65 warning does not mean that a product is unsafe. The State of California’s website states, “A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean that a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements.” Hydronix takes every precaution possible to ensure that all of our products are clean, safe and effective. This is why most of our products have been tested to NSF/ANSI standards. Lastly, for some products we need to include the following on the label and the spec sheet:
