Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV1-I2 Single System is engineered to deliver quality water for commercial ice applications while helping protect equipment and maintain consistent performance. The system utilizes the Hydro Guard™ HDG-i2000(2) sanitary filter cartridge to reduce sediment, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, and scale that can affect water quality and equipment operation.
Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV1-I2 Single System provides fine filtration down to 0.2 micron while helping reduce scale buildup and clogging in distribution lines, evaporator plates, and pumps. Its sanitary quick-change cartridge design makes routine filter replacement fast, clean,
and convenient.

Description
The Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV1-I2 Single System delivers dependable water filtration for commercial ice machine applications using the Hydro Guard™ HDG-i2000(2) sanitary filter cartridge. Its high-performance 0.2-micron filtration helps reduce sediment, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, and scale that can affect water quality and equipment performance.
Designed for cuber and flaker ice machines, the HDGT-EV1-I2 provides a rated capacity of up to 9,000 gallons with a maximum service flow rate of 1.67 gpm. The sanitary quick-change cartridge design and integrated pressure gauge help make routine filter replacement and system monitoring simple and convenient.
Installation Instructions
• Do not use a saddle valve for the water connection.
• Use a 3/8” water line for installation.
• Do not connect the system to a water-cooled condenser.
• Install the system vertically with the cartridge hanging downward and allow at least 2½” (6.35 cm) of clearance below the cartridge for replacement.
• Flush the cartridge at full flow for five minutes before placing the system into service.
Operation Instructions
• Replace the cartridge when its rated capacity is reached or when water flow becomes noticeably reduced.
• Do not exceed the maximum recommended service flow rate of 1.67 gpm (6.3 Lpm).
• Always flush the filter cartridge during initial installation and after each cartridge replacement.
