Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV4-I4 Quad System is a high-capacity commercial water filtration system designed to deliver quality water for demanding ice machine applications. Its four-cartridge configuration provides increased flow and capacity for high-volume commercial equipment.
Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV4-I4 Quad System utilizes four HDG-i4000(2) sanitary filter cartridges to reduce scale, particulates, chloramines, chlorine taste and odor, and other contaminants that can adversely affect beverage quality and equipment performance. The filtration media micro-filters dirt and particles as small as 0.2 micron while helping reduce cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV4-I4 Quad System features a commercial-grade manifold with a built-in water shut-off, flushing valve, and outlet pressure gauges for convenient operation and maintenance. Its sanitary quick-change cartridge design simplifies replacement while helping protect ice machines from scale buildup, clogging, and water-related downtime.

Description
The Hydro Guard™ HDGT-EV4-I4 Quad System delivers high-capacity water filtration for demanding commercial ice machine applications using four Hydro Guard™ HDG-i4000(2) sanitary filter cartridges. Its high-performance 0.2-micron filtration helps reduce scale, particulates, chloramines, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, and other contaminants that can affect water quality and equipment performance.
Designed for high-volume commercial ice machines, the HDGT-EV4-I4 provides a rated capacity of up to 36,000 gallons with increased flow and filtration capacity for larger equipment demands. The sanitary quick-change cartridge design, built-in water shut-off, flushing valve, and outlet pressure gauges help simplify operation and routine maintenance while protecting equipment from scale buildup, clogging, and water-related downtime.
Installation Instructions
• Do not use a saddle valve for the water connection.
• Use a 3/4” water line for installation.
• Do not connect the system to a water-cooled condenser.
• Install the system vertically with the cartridges hanging downward and allow at least 2½” (6.35 cm) of clearance below the cartridges for replacement.
• Flush the cartridges at full flow for five minutes before placing the system into service.
Operation Instructions
• Replace cartridges when rated capacity is reached or inlet pressure falls below 10 psi (0.7 bar).
• Do not exceed the maximum service flow rate of 6.7 gpm (25.3 Lpm).
• Always flush the filter cartridge during initial installation and after each cartridge replacement.
