The Hydro Guard™ U2000 Under Counter Water Filtration System delivers cleaner, healthier, better-tasting drinking water right at your tap, 24/7. Designed to address a wide range of water concerns — from unpleasant taste and odor to chlorine, VOCs, pesticides, herbicides, and chlorination by-products — this high-performance system provides up to 800 gallons of premium quality water with minimal maintenance. Each model in the U2000 line features a multi-stage design: a high-performance sediment prefilter captures dirt, rust, and fine particles, extending the life of the primary filters, while a sub-micron ceramic layer ensures cyst and microbial filtration. Water then passes through an NSF-certified coconut shell carbon block, which micro-strains and adsorbs contaminants to improve both safety and taste.

The convenient End of Life Indicator (ELI) with LED alerts takes the guesswork out of maintenance, signaling exactly when it’s time to replace your cartridges. The Hydro Guard™ U2000 Under Counter Water Filtration System incorporates a multi-stage water filtration cartridges designed to provide you with 800 gallons of premium quality drinking water for pennies per day. Hydro Guard™ has enhanced and combined proven filtration technologies to provide you with a product that will give you premium quality water.

Microban® Carbon Block

CARTRIDGE 1 – HDG-SED5

The HDG-SED5 prefilter is a specially manufactured high performance 5u sediment filter designed for high dirt holding capacity, sediment and rust particle reduction which helps extend the life of additional filters. Its micro-fine web design traps more particles and helps keep other filters in the filtration system working at optimal performance.

CARTRIDGE 2 – HDG-MCB

Stage 1 –

Hydro Guard’s Radial Flow Filtration allows water to enter the cartridge through the radius of the filter. This allows the outer layer to trap and retain particulate matter 1u in size or larger.

The FDA CFR 21 compliant fine web polypropylene fibers do not impart color, odor or chemicals into the water and offer exceptional performance.

Stage 2 –

Water passes through the NSF Certified Coconut Shell Solid Carbon Block filter to reduce items of health concern. The 0.5 micron carbon block pores micro-strains the water to reduce (through mechanical filtration) substances in your water that are 0.5 micron in size or larger. The 0.5 micron pores also aid to increase the systems adsorptive properties. This allows water to have a longer contact time with the carbon wall and permits the efficient reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s), PCB, Pesticides, Herbcides, Chloroform and other chlorination by-products.

Ultrafiltration System

CARTRIDGE 1 – HDG-SED5

Its micro-fine web design traps more particles and helps keep other filters in the filtration system working at optimal performance.

CARTRIDGE 2 – HDG-UF

Stage 1 –

Hydro Guard’s radial flow filtration allows water to enter the cartridge through the radius of the filter allowing the filters outer layer to trap and retain larger particles such as dirt, rust and sediment. The FDA CFR 21 compliant fine web polypropylene fibers do not impart color, odor or chemicals into the water and are an ideal pre-filtration media.

Stage 2 –

After water passes through the outer layer it then enters and passes through the NSF Certified Coconut Shell Solid Carbon Block filter to reduce items of health concern. The carbon block micro-strain the water through its 0.5 micron pores to trap micro-organisms and cysts.

The carbon blocks Chemisorptive process also allows it to effectively reduces Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), PCB’s, Certain Heavy metals such as Lead, Pesticides, Herbicides, Chloroform and other chlorination by-products.

Stage 3 –

In the final filtration process water passes through an array of sophisticated 0.01 – 0.1 Ultra Filtration (UF) hollow fibers for the effective removal of Bacteria, Viruses and Cysts. Suspended particles and materials of high molecular weight are unable to pass through the 0.01- 0.1 micron UF ultrafiltration membrane, allowing only fresh clean water and dissolved minerals to pass through.

End Of Life Indicator (ELI)

The Hydro Guard” End of Life Indicator (ELI) is another way Hydro Guard™ helps you safeguard your drinking water. The ELl measures time and informs you when it’s time to change your filter. This is an added convenience which takes away the guess work and helps ensure your drinking water system is working at optimal performance. Two LED lights update you on the systems operation. The YELLOW LED indicates less than 10% of filter capacity remains (it’s time to order a replacement cartridge), and the RED LED indicates the filter capacity has been reached, and it’s time to install new cartridge.
