Hydro Guard Water Sciences™ model HDG-BH(2) sanitary filter cartridges utilize TriTek Bacteriostatic Filtration Media with antibacterial media to effectively address contaminants of health concern while inhibiting the growth of bacteria on the filter media and reducing scale buildup on equipment.
Hydro GuardTM HDG-BH(2) are simple, quick and clean. The internal filter parts are never exposed to handling or contamination and offer true sanitary filter cartridge benefits for ease of use and optimal performance. The HDG-BH(2) (also part number HDG-EV9612-50) cartridge reduces Cysts, VOC’s, scale, chlorine taste and odor and other offensive contaminants that can adversely affect the taste of beverages. Filtration Media incorporates antibacterial media for enhanced bacteriostatic performance and provides superior chlorine taste and odor reduction.
The Hydro GuardTM HDG-BH(2) sanitary filter cartridges micro-filter dirt and particles as small as 0.2 micron in size by mechanical filtration technology and are tested to NSF/ANSI 53 standards to reduce cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Hydro GuardTM HDG-BH(2) sanitary filter cartridges drastically improve the taste of ice, coffee and other beverages. They are ideal for commercial use, aid to keep ice machines running at a more efficient capacity and gives users the peace of mind they expect from a sanitary cartridge.

The Hydro Guard™ HDG-BH(2) utilizes advanced TriTek Bacteriostatic Filtration Media to reduce chlorine taste and odor, cysts, VOCs, scale, and other contaminants that can affect beverage quality. Its integrated antibacterial media helps inhibit the growth of bacteria on the filter media while delivering exceptional 0.2-micron filtration performance.
Designed for ice machines, coffee equipment, and commercial beverage applications, the HDG-BH(2) helps improve taste while reducing scale buildup that can impact equipment efficiency. Independently tested to NSF/ANSI 53 standards for cyst reduction, the sanitary quick-change design provides reliable performance and long-term equipment protection in demanding commercial environments.
