Hydro Guard™ SW Series String Wound Cartridges provide a cost-effective solution for reducing sand, silt, rust, dirt, and scale particles from your water supply. Manufactured from 100% polypropylene cord, these cartridges are designed to handle temperatures up to 165°F (73.9°C), offering both durability and reliable performance. With various wound patterns available to match different micron ratings, the SW Series ensures you always have the right product for the right application.

These string wound cartridges are ideal for a wide range of residential and commercial uses, performing effectively with both municipal and well water systems. Each cartridge is made from FDA CFR 21–approved material, complies with NSF Standards 42, 61, and 372, and provides a high dirt-holding capacity, ensuring long-lasting filtration efficiency.

Constructed with 100% pure polypropylene, Hydro Guard™ SW Series String Wound Cartridges are free from surfactants, detergents, and anti-static agents. They do not impart any substances into water that are known to—or could potentially—cause adverse health effects in humans. The polypropylene media meets the stringent guidelines of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Sections 177.1520 (a), (1) and 177.1520 (c), (1.1).
